Nikki Sixx says finance isn’t sexy.

In a new interview, the Motley Crue bassist revealed that he wanted to write a book on finance but decided on a memoir instead.

Sixx explained the finance book would have helped advise artists who have lost their money because of management issues.

He said, “I was originally writing a finance book to help artists who come into money like myself, a lot of athletes and actors with no financial, real understanding of money and they ended up bankrupt. It breaks my heart when people spend their whole life working at their craft and then lose everything because they don’t have any. So it was a kind of a short idea for a book. The more I thought about it, I was like ‘That’s not very sexy.’ Maybe I’ll write that in when I’m 72 or 75.”

Sixx released the memoir called, ‘The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx’ in October.

Can finance be sexy?
