Wolfgang Van Halen recently revealed his two favorite Van Halen albums – and his picks might surprise you.

The Mammoth WVH frontman included two VH records in a list of ’11 Albums That Changed My Life’ that appeared in Louder.

His choices?  1981’s Fair Warning – which he calls “a cult classic”, and 1995’s Balance, which he thinks “might be the best-sounding Hagar album”.

Other albums on the list include AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, The Beatles’ Abbey Road, and Tool’s Aenima.

What’s your favorite ‘underrated’ Van Halen album?
