This week Marvel Studios welcome their fans to the chaos with the release of their first trailer for Moon Knight, their next superhero TV series apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following in the foot steps of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye on Disney+.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac in the lead role, playing Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who becomes the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Each of Spector’s identities from his DID are distinct characters, including Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee suffering from blackouts and memories of another life.
Executive producer Kevin Feige described Spector as “an action hero who jumps out of buildings and gets into fights”.
As the trailer shows, Moon Knight also stars Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, who is a cult leader who encourages Marc Spector to embrace his inner darkness. Ehtan Hawke said his character Arthur Harrow is inspired by cult leader David Koresh.
From the looks of the trailer, Moon Knight will be a psychological thriller, a fresh genre that we have not seen before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight will debut on Disney+ on March 30th.
