Former America Drummer Willie Leacox Dead at 74

Willie Leacox, the former drummer for America, has died.

Leacox drummed with the band on tour from 1973 to 2014.

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our brother and beloved drummer of 41 years, Willie Leacox,” America shared on Twitter. “Willie was an integral part of the America family and we cherish the time that we shared with him through this crazy journey.”

Leacox was 74.
