Slayer’s Original Band Name Could Have Been Way Different

There’s probably no band name more badass than Slayer’s. 

Believe it or not, the original name for the “Raining Blood” band could have been completely different.

Drummer Dave Lombardo said in a 2015 interview that the band members almost settled on Wings of Fire instead of Slayer.

“I remember we had just decided that the name of the band was going to be Slayer instead of Wings of Fire,” Lombardo told Kerrang!. “Those were the two choices,”
