A 1971 Aerosmith album that was recently rediscovered is being released as part of the band’s 50th-anniversary celebration.

“The Road Stops Hear,” which was recorded on guitarist Joe Perry’s reel-to-reel tape recorder, features seven songs — including an early version of the band’s future hit, “Dream On,” Aerosmith reveals. Among the album’s other tracks are “Reefer Head Woman,” “Walkin’ the Dog” and “Mama Kin.”

The repackaged edition of the lost album will also feature comments from the band’s members, liner notes by Rolling Stone writer David Fricke and previously unseen photos, according to the band’s website. It’s due to drop on April 8th.

Generally speaking, are “lost” or “previously unreleased” songs worth listening to?
