This past weekend Saturday Night Live had Zoe Kravitz come on to host the sketch comedy show to help promote the movie “The Batman” which premiered on March 4th. Kravitz, in my opinion, did an amazing job hosting and is great when it comes to comedy, but one sketch stood out among the rest. One of the last sketches showed a group of friends enjoying brunch when they get on to the subject of new music, Bowen Yang goes on to say that he has been “really into the marching band version of Don’t Stop Believin’”.
What happens next, after Yang asks his Windows phone to play, is two minutes worth of hilarious passion, mispronounced lyrics, and multiple shoutouts to the Ohio State Marching Band. At the end, Kravitz’s character joins in on the fandom and we are left laughing our asses off at the fact that Yang’s character is amazed at the magic of music and as he and Kravitz say that “Anything is possible and all that was once beautiful can be again!” Let’s just hope that after this sketch no one starts calling San Francisco “San Fran-cisk.”
