Shinedown Covers Foo Fighters to Honor Taylor Hawkins

YouTube, @Robbie Wiese.

Shinedown covered Foo Fighters on Monday night, paying tribute to drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Fan footage from Monday’s show in Sioux Falls, South Dakota showed Shinedown covering Foo Fighters’ “Wheels” while an image of Hawkins appeared on a screen.

“Wheels” was recorded for Foo Fighters’ “Greatest Hits” album in 2009, though it did not get as much recognition as the older songs on the compilation.

Shinedown is set to release their own album, “Planet Zero,” on July 1.

Are you surprised Shinedown covered this specific Foo Fighters song? Should Shinedown do a covers album?
