Not only is Michael Anthony interested in being part of a possible Van Halen tribute tour, but he has also confirmed that he’s been in touch with his former bandmates Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth about the idea.

Anthony made the revelation in a new interview. He also made sure to note they likely won’t be hitting the road very soon though. “Alex is still … mourning or whatever you want to say. But I did have some talks with Dave and Alex last year.”

Anthony then added that he really hopes something happens in the near future.

Do you like the idea of a Van Halen “tribute” or “celebration” tour? Should Sammy Hagar be part of it as well?
