Rush Banned From Using Beer Slogan

Geddy Lee is sharing a story about Rush’s beer. 

In a new interview, the Rush frontman said he and guitarist Alex Lifeson wanted to use, ‘Drinking beer is better than being hit in the head with a hammer’ on their beer cans but weren’t allowed. 

Rush Canadian Golden Ale is 5.5 percent ABV, and the can instead features the Starman artwork from the classic album 2112, along with the tagline “Books are for tourists.”
