Certain people are so famous that even other famous people get freaked out about meeting them.  That’s what happened the time Adam Sandler ran into Bruce Springsteen at a NYC gym.

Sandler told the story on Late Night with Seth Meyers – taking place back in the 90’s when Sandler was still on Saturday Night Live.  

Sandler said he was “working out at this real crappy gym” when The Boss walked by and stopped  in front of him.

“I’m like, ‘That is Bruce Springsteen.’ He goes, ‘Hey.’ I go, ‘Hey.’ And he goes, ‘I know you,’ and I go, ‘You do?’ And he goes, ‘You’re, uh, Allan Stanley.’ And I go, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah.‘”

Sandler says none of his SNL castmates believed him – until two years later when Springsteen was the musical guest on SNL and asked Sandler “You still go to that gym?”
