Kenny G Goes Death Metal

YouTube, @Century Media Records.

Raise your hand if you woke up this morning expecting to hear about Kenny G’s new death metal project.

You heard right – the smooth-playing saxman appears on “Merkurius Gilded”, the latest song by death metal band Imperial Triumphant.

Kenny G even appears in the video, wearing a creepy-looking gas mask.

So how did Kenny G wind up in a death metal collab?  Turns out his son Max Gorelick – who also plays on the song – is good friends with the band and recruited his famous pop.

The track will be included on Imperial Triumphant’s new album Spirit of Ecstasy, due out July 22nd.
