Ex-Van Halen Singer Says ‘Kitchen Sink’ Tour Nearly Happened

Former Van Halen singer Gary Cherone has confirmed the rumors that the band was considering a so-called ‘kitchen sink’ tour.

Cherone says around the time of VH’s 40th anniversary, Eddie Van Halen would drop hints about a tour that brought back every former member – even Cherone, whose tenure in the band lasted for just one album, 1998’s Van Halen III.

Cherone said Eddie was already undergoing cancer treatments at the time, and would have good days and not-so-good days.

Should the remaining Van Halen members put together a tribute tour?
