Whitesnake drummer Tommy Aldridge is reportedly responding to a repost of the Rock Imperium statement claiming that his “severe health issues” caused the cancelation of the band’s appearance at the event. 

A message on Twitter from @tadrums says, “This is patently untrue. I don’t know how it ever saw the light of day.” 

The Twitter account appears to be Aldridge’s but does not have the blue check that the social media platform gives to celebrities, public figures and journalists to verify their identities. David Coverdale came to Aldridge’s defense and posted “Tommy was under the weather, as we all can get, but is getting better.”

A separate statement posted on the band’s official website makes no mention of Aldridge’s health.
