When Alice Cooper embarks on his fall 2022 tour, he’ll be doing it without Nita Strauss. The guitarist on Monday announced she’s quit Cooper’s band after eight years.

“The past eight years together has been the experience of a lifetime, and I could not be more grateful to Alice and Sheryl Cooper, Shep Gordon, the amazing band, crew and fans for welcoming me to all of your nightmare,” reads a message posted to Strauss’ social media accounts. “I don’t know what the future will hold after this, but I am forever thankful.” Strauss goes on to say she’s also called off all of her solo gigs that were scheduled through the end of the year.

While the 35-year-old musician hasn’t revealed her reason for bailing on Cooper’s band, she asserts, “I am not pregnant!”

Would you like to see Strauss start a band of her own?
