Mick Jagger says his Rolling Stones bandmate Keith Richards was obsessed with another band. 

In the recent episode of “My Life as a Rolling Stone” on BBC iPlayer, Jagger recalled how the Beatles exploded in the industry and as the world fell in love with the band, so did Richards. 

Jagger said, “Keith, he’d play The Beatles all the time. It’d drive me absolutely batty! And why he was playing The Beatles wasn’t because he didn’t want to listen to anything else. Keith wanted to write these pop songs cuz we’re undeniably the blues band. But we knew we had to be a pop band.” 

Jagger also said that Richards became jealous and obsessed with The Beatles at one point.
