Chili Peppers Pay Respects To Hawkins

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are paying their respects to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

The band performed at the 2022 MTV VMAs last night, where they received the Global Icon Award.

Drummer Chad Smith played on a kit that had a hawk and the word “Taylor” printed on it.

As the band gave their acceptance speeches, Chad also said, “There’s another musical icon, Global Icon, and his name is my brother, Taylor Hawkins, and I want to dedicate this to Taylor, and his family. I loved him, and I miss him every day, and fly on, pop. Play on, brother.”
