Led Zeppelin IV Named Best Guitar Album Of The 1970’s

YouTube, @Kerrrang.

The 1970’s was a peak time for rock’n’roll guitar – which is why the folks at Guitar World have ranked the ‘Greatest Guitar Albums of the 70’s’.

Topping the list is 1971’s Led Zeppelin IV, which “is not just the greatest guitar album of the 70s, but the benchmark for every guitar band ever since.”

The rest of the top five:
Van Halen, Van Halen
Pink Floyd, The Dark Side Of The Moon
Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti
Deep Purple, Machine Head

What other albums belong on this list?  Do you have an all-time favorite guitar player, or is it impossible to narrow it down to just one?
