Stone Temple Pilots Bassist Releasing 1st Solo Album

YouTube, @Robert De Leo Official.

Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo is going solo.

DeLeo has announced his first-ever solo album, Lessons Learned, will be out Oct. 21st.  The first single, “Love Is Not Made Of Gold”, was released on Friday.

DeLeo says the album is about the “many changes” revealed over the last few years of his life. He plays nearly every instrument on the record, with a handful of guest musicians and singers.

What are some solo albums that are just as good as the artist’s main band?
