Tool-Covering Child Prodigy Gets Guitar From Adam Jones

A young guitar prodigy who went viral for covering Tool got a very special gift from guitarist Adam Jones.

Jones sent a signed Gibson Signature 1979 Les Paul Custom guitar to 9-year-old Maya Neelakantan, who unveiled it in an exuberant YouTube video.

Neelakantan made waves earlier this year for her cover of Tool’s fiendishly difficult song “7empest”.

Maya’s father wrote on Reddit: “None of us can believe Adam Jones did this. What a kind hearted, caring and a generous man he is!“
