Metallica is cashing in on the success by launching a new line of merchandise after their song “Master of Puppets” reached the top of the iTunes rock chart some 36 years after its original release, thanks to the season four finale of the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things.”
This week Metallica released a Stranger Things X Metallica Hellfire Club shirt collection via its fan store. The debut collection includes a hoodie, baseball raglan tee, and T-shirt, with prices ranging from $39.99 to $55.99.
Each pays homage to the black Hellfire Club shirts Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn), the show’s long-haired, leather-clad character, wore. In one of the pivotal scenes from the last episode, which appeared in July, Eddie Munson played an instrumental version of Metallica’s 1986 song.
