Roger Waters Addresses Pink Floyd-Wizard Of Oz Connection

It’s one of the most famous urban legends in rock history – that Pink Floyd’s album Dark Side of the Moon was designed to line up with The Wizard of Oz.  But Roger Waters says it’s ‘bull****’.

The Ex-Floyd frontman addressed the theory during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast: “It’s bull****. Of course it is. I mean, it may not be. It may be that if you do what they say – but has nothing to do with us, any of us. Nothing to do with anyone in Pink Floyd, or anyone who wrote or recorded any of the music.”

The urban legend has been around since at least 1995, when it appeared in an article in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

Have you ever tried watching Wizard of Oz set to Dark Side?  Is there anything to the theory?
