Billy Gibbons Will Play Jimi Hendrix’s Guitar On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons will join Jimmy Kimmel Live this week – and he’s bringing something very special with him.

Gibbons will play a Gibson Flying V guitar that once belonged to Jimi Hendrix, and was played on his final tour in 1970.

Hendrix, who died at the age of 27 on September 18, 1970 would have turned 80 on November 27th.

Gibbons’ appearance is scheduled for Thursday, November 17th.

At one point, Hendrix famously said Gibbons was his favorite guitarist. Watch Gibbons’s reaction below.
