After two severe disasters hit Florida, the rock band Aerosmith offered help. The four-time Grammy-winning band has gifted the Central Florida Red Cross two Community Emergency Vehicles as they work to assist in relief efforts after Hurricanes Ian and Nicole.

In a statement, Florida resident and founding member of Aerosmith, Joe Perry said that he and his bandmates were “devastated by the disastrous effects of Hurricane Ian.”

Once the two 2023 Chevrolet Silverados are completed they will have Aerosmith’s recognizable “Walk This Way” logo.

“Too often we are seeing these disasters increase in frequency and intensity due to climate change, having a strong Red Cross is more critical than ever before,” the guitarist said. “We’re proud to support the Red Cross and we know these vehicles will be an important tool helping people in need for years to come.”

According to a news release, the vehicles are scheduled to arrive this spring.
