Epic Photo Book Captures ‘Music In The 80’s’

Pete Still/Redferns

Legendary rock ‘n’ roll photographer Lynn Goldsmith is revisiting the 80’s in her latest photo book.

Music in the 80’s collects 352 pages of Goldsmith’s work – including artists like Bruce Springsteen, Freddie Mercury, Boy George, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Van Halen.

Goldsmith says putting together the book changed her view of the decade: “The 1980s were so wild, it was all over the place, yet it was all popular. Michael Jackson was popular, but so was Iron Maiden.”

“What you see is how many different kinds of music really had strong popularity,” Goldsmith continued.
