Townhouse at Former Music Studios Where Elton John Recorded Is For Sale

Sir Elton John recorded his mega-hit 1997 version of Candle in the Wind at Townhouse Studios in Shepherd’s Bush immediately after Princess Diana’s funeral.

The place was created by Sir Richard Branson for his Virgin record label in 1978, and hosted stars including Queen, the Sex Pistols and Robbie Williams.

It was also where the famous drums sound was produced for Phil Collins’ hit “In the Air Tonight”.

The complex was sold to developers but buyers now have a chance to snap up the slice of music history.
A four-bedroom townhouse on the site has gone on the market through Dexters.

The west London home is set over four floors and features four en-suite bedrooms.

Dexters says, “The extraordinary history of this now-modern family home not only adds character and flare, but means you could be sleeping in the same room that the Sex Pistols once performed in.”
