Red Hot Chili Peppers Guitarist Working On Ambient Electronic Albums

Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante is working on not one, but two solo albums – and they sound very different from his main band.

The albums can be described as ‘ambient synth electronica’, which Frusciante recorded “live to CD burner, with no overdubs”.

He says the project was a direct response to spending the last 18 months writing and recording with RHCP – “I had done enough with chords, rhythms, notes…”

The albums will be released on the Avenue 66 label. What’s your ‘side project’? Share your projects on 107.7 the Bone’s Facebook or Twitter page.
