Tom Petty’s Malibu Beach House Up For Sale

Got an extra $10 million? Can we interest you in a Malibu beach house once owned by Tom Petty?

The 1,170-square-foot cabin-like property was purchased by Petty in 2010. The property has been listed for the low, low price of $9.85 million.

His widow, Dana Petty, says her husband wrote a number of songs there, including “Good Things Coming” and “Beautiful Blue”.

“Tommy loved that the beach house was pretty much all original, built in 1950, with a cabin feel,” Petty’s widow, Dana Petty, said in a statement. “We spent a lot of time there with friends and family…Tommy always had his recorder and guitar, as he was always writing and creating. I remember him writing so many songs there.

The house is described as being “Loaded with appeal, abundant views, and a cabin-like ambiance, this oceanfront compound with 66 feet of beach frontage is a masterpiece in wood, brick, and stone.”

The listing goes on to say, “Equipped with security, air conditioning, and solar power, this is Malibu beach living at its most charming.”

Compass currently holds the listing.
