Nearly two months after he made his triumphant return to the stage following knee surgery, former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di’Anno is back in the studio.

The vocalist and the other members of his new band, Warhouse, are in Split, Croati laying down tracks for their debut album, according to UltimateClassicRock.com.

Stjepan Juras, the author of several Iron Maiden-related books, says although Di’Anno is still confined to a wheelchair, he’s improving every day. “He successfully underwent all the necessary treatments and operations and now all that remains is a strong will and exercise in order to regain his muscles and gradually walk,” Juras says. “Technically speaking, his legs are ready for it. What he needs most now is motivation to get his life back in the best possible way.”

There’s no official confirmation of a release date for the new album.
