With a collection of images from their time as members of the Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger paid tribute on Instagram to his friendship with Keith Richards and their many years of collaboration as Richards celebrates his 79th birthday.
The two did not always get along. After it was rumored that Jagger was having an affair with Richards’ then-girlfriend Anita Pallenberg, Richard made a diss at Jagger in his autobiography titled Life. Richard commented that Pallenberg lost interest in Jaggar’s “tiny todger.”
Eventually, the men hashed out their differences and decided it was time to move on. Their relationship is said to have been restored since then.
