Flea has become a dad for the third time – at 60 years old.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist and his wife, fashion designer Melody Ehsani, have revealed they became the parents of their first child together on December 12th.
They haven’t revealed the baby’s sex or name. Flea has two other children from two previous relationships: 34-year-old Clara and 17-year-old Sunny.
Just days before Ehsani gave birth, Flea expressed his excitement over becoming a dad again. “I love being a dad, and I can’t even believe that I’m about to have another baby,” he said. “I’m just excited about laying down at night with a little baby on my chest and smelling its little breath and feeling its soft little feet.”
Over the weekend, Flea discussed what life is like with a newborn. He said, “I haven’t been doing a lot of sleeping…but I’ve been doing a lot of floating on a cloud of love.”
