Let’s be real: Metallica had a pretty great year.

Here are some moments that proved 2022 was a standout year for Metallica:

  • The debut of the song “Lux Æterna” AND the news of the band’s next album, “72 Seasons.”
  • Frontman James Hetfield showing some vulnerability on stage and receiving a group hug from his bandmates in Brazil
  • Adding “Bleeding Me” back into their setlist at shows
  • “Stranger Things.” You know why.
