Robert Plant Says This Song Always Reminds Him of John Bonham

John Bonham’s drumming is an essential part of any Led Zeppelin song – but there’s one song in particular that always makes Robert Plant think about his former bandmate.

In a new interview with Vulture, Plant was asked to name the ‘song that always reminds you of John Bonham’. His answer? “Achilles Last Stand”.

He called Bonham’s performance “relentless” and said he had a hard time coming up with a vocal to match the “incredible instrumentation”.

Plant also cited “When The Levee Breaks” and its “sexy, ridiculously laid-back and held-back groove”.
