Following several years of concentrating on other projects, Radiohead will “get together” in early 2023, according to drummer Phil Selway, as reported by New Musical Express.
The drummer gave the impression that Radiohead’s “Hail to the Thief” album, which will mark its 20th anniversary this year, will receive a special re-release.
“We’ve been very focused on the whole ‘Kid A’/’Amnesiac’ thing, and I think that’s coming to its natural conclusion, going back through the reissue and [creating] the game scenario around that,” Selway explained. “We’re going to get together at the start of [2023], and I’m sure we’re going to start looking at other ideas for what comes next. ‘Hail To The Thief’ — it’s a long time since that record, isn’t it?”
Selway has been concentrating on his solo career; his upcoming album, “Strange Dance,” will be released in the coming month.
Radiohead’s last studio album was 2016’s A Moon-Shaped Pool. Last year, members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood released their debut album “A Light For Attracting Attention” and toured with their side project The Smile.
