Green Day Covers Elvis Costello’s ‘Alison’

After teasing it earlier this week, Green Day have shared a cover of Green Day’s “Alison”.

The stripped-down version was recorded during the sessions for 1997’s Nimrod, and appears on the upcoming Nimrod 25 – 25th Anniversary Edition box set.

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong has been covering “Alison” for years – in fact, he performed it alongside Costello himself for VH1 in 2006.

Nimrod 25 – 25th Anniversary Edition will be out on January 27th.
