Billy Idol Announces North American Tour

Apparently, Billy Idol has gotten a little tired of dancing with himself.

The alternative rocker on Monday announced plans to embark on a spring tour of North America that will see him perform in 16 cities. The trek kicks off on March 30th in Scottsdale, Arizona, and wraps up with an appearance at May 20th’s Cruel World festival in Pasadena.

“Some way or other, by hook or by crook, I finagled my way into this position where I’m still going strong and enjoying it,” Idol says. “We just started playing because we loved it. Maybe it would last six months or a couple, three years. And now it’s almost 50 years later.”

Which 1980s music stars are known by today’s younger generation?
