Paul McCartney Shares ‘Lost’ Collaboration With Jeff Beck

Paul McCartney and Jeff Beck teamed up for a song about the rainforest. It happened – and it’s finally seeing the light of day.

McCartney shared the song this week, which was recorded for a 1994 radio campaign promoting vegetarianism and rainforest conservation.

Beck plays guitar and also offers a spoken-word plea to stop cutting down rainforest to create more grazing land for cattle.

McCartney wrote: “With the sad passing of Jeff Beck – a good friend of mine, and a great, great guitar player – it reminded me of the time we worked together many years ago on a campaign for vegetarianism. It’s great guitar playing, cause it’s Jeff!”

Beck died earlier this month at the age of 78.

“It is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing.” His family wrote in a social media post, “His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”
