Fans are reacting to Ozzy Osbourne’s announcement on Wednesday that he’s retiring from touring – and most are surprisingly supportive of the move.

In a message posted on Twitter, one fan says, “Ozzy owes us absolutely nothing. A true icon who has given us everything for 50 years until he physically couldn’t.”

Another user chimes in, “Thanks for being the incredible showman you are.” Lemmium writes, “As Ozzy Osbourne leaves the stage for the last time, it’s time to celebrate this wonderful performer and force of nature. Thank you, Ozzy, for the memories.”

Hundreds of similar messages have turned up online in the hours following Osbourne’s announcement, in which he said he’s no longer “physically capable” to tour.

“Your music, in ways I won’t get into here, changed the course of my life,” Angerstroke writes. ” I wish you all the best, and will remain a lifelong fan, even if the only way I can catch you live is in memories.”
