Joe Elliott Spent Stadium Tour in ‘Total Isolation’

Any rock band will tell you that it gets lonely on the road – especially in the COVID-19 era.

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott says he spent most of last year’s Stadium Tour in ‘total isolation’, hoping to avoid contracting COVID and having to cancel shows.

He told Classic Rock magazine “All of us in Leppard traveled separately, which is the smartest decision we made. I didn’t stay in hotels. I lived on the bus, just me and Dale, my driver, in total isolation.”
Elliott called it “the price of doing business in 2022”.

Def Leppard will be teaming up with Motley Crue for a worldwide tour starting later this month.

How else has the COVID-19 era affected concerts and touring?
