Wolfgang Van Halen Will Use Eddie’s ‘Notable Guitars’ in Upcoming Mammoth WVH Album

Wolfgang Van Halen has a special surprise for Mammoth WVH’s new album – he will use notable guitars from his dad – Eddie Van Halen.

“The only thing I have left to do is track the guitar solos,” Wolfgang explained, “So what I want to do is go through some of Pop’s notable guitars and do a solo with each of them. Guitars like the Frankenstein or the Shark, stuff like that.”

In December, Wolfgang said he was, “Probably about halfway through” the album and discussed his decision to record all of the instruments on his own.

“I like to completely immersive myself in the music — in all aspects of it,” he said. “I think a lot of people have tried to turn it into something else, saying things like, ‘Oh it’s because he doesn’t want to pay other musicians,’ and it’s not that at all. This is just something for me. It’s a sacred experience for me. It’s my project, and an artistic outlet for me and my mental well-being.”

Mammoth WVH has big plans for 2023 – in addition to the highly anticipated album, they will also be one of the supporting acts for Metallica’s M72 tour.
