Axl Rose is weighing on the Daytona 500.
NASCAR opened its 2023 regular season with the Daytona 500 over the weekend and Guns N’ Roses partnered with Erik Jones for the race as the primary sponsor of Legacy Motor Club’s No. 43 car.
Jimmie Johnson, the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion who recently purchased stake in Legacy, shared his excitement on Twitter stating, “My first concert was GunsNRoses, San Diego Stadium (Jack Murphy), 1992. I can promise you, my 17-year-old self did NOT see this coming.”
After the race Axl Rose wrote on social media, “The race was exciting! Congratulations to Ricky Stenhouse Jr! Erik Jones was doing great! Sucked he got taken out! Was great to be a part of such a huge n’ historic event! All the best to the Legacy Motor Club going forward! Thank you to everyone at NASCAR for letting us be a part of your world.
