Jane’s Addiction Debut First New Song in 10 Years

Jane’s Addiction debuted a new song at this week’s show in Bakersfield, California.

The song, True Love, is the first new music from Jane’s Addiction in 10 years. The band’s last release was their 2013 single, Another Soulmate, which followed the band’s 2011 album The Great Escape Artist.

The band is currently on tour without guitarist Dave Navarro, who’s recovering from the effects of long Covid. Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer has been filling in on tour.

“As a band we are in a great place, writing new music, and the bond is tighter than ever. We all hope Dave can be out playing with us; when he feels healthy and ready,” Said the band in an official statement. “For the near future, our brother Josh Klinghoffer will jump in for the upcoming shows…We want to thank you for being there with us over these thirty some odd odd years. You know, we’re going to keep throwing down for you.”

The band began working on a new album last year.
