Three of the biggest names in the history of rock were all inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the same day – and it happened on this day 24 years ago.

On March 15th, 1999, the Hall of Fame inducted an absolutely loaded Class of ’99 that included Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, and Billy Joel.

McCartney became the second Beatle to be inducted as a solo artist, following John Lennon in 1994.

The rest of that year’s class included Curtis Mayfield, Dusty Springfield, Del Shannon, Gene Vincent, and the Staple Singers.

Was this the most loaded HOF class of all time? Who’s the biggest artist that’s not currently in the Hall of Fame? Share your opinions on 107.7 The Bone’s Facebook or Twitter page.
