You may not know the name David Evans, but you certainly know his nickname The Edge.

During a radio interview on Wednesday, the U2 guitarist shared the story of how he got his nickname. According to the guitarist, he most likely got his nickname from his face shape.

“In my case, I think it was the chin, that inspired the Edge,” he said.

As for the other band members, he shared, “Larry’s was Jam Jar and Adam was Mrs Burns. For whatever reason, Bono Vox of O’Connell Street got shortened to Bono.”
