Slash, Billy Gibbons, and More Perform Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd at the CMT Music Awards

This year’s CMT Music Awards were a little bit country – and a whole lot of rock’n’roll.

Sunday night’s show was packed with big-name rock stars like Slash and ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, who led an all-star tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd and late guitarist Gary Rossington.

We also saw the Black Crowes team up with Darius Rucker for a cover of “She Talks To Angels”, and guitarist Gary Clark perform Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “The House Is Rockin'”

Other rock stars in the building included Paul Rodgers, Warren Haynes, Peter Frampton, and members of Allman Brothers Band.

What should we make of this rock star invasion? What are some of your favorite rock/country collabs? Share your opinions on 107.7 The Bone’s Facebook or Twitter page.
