The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. is releasing a new solo album.
The guitarist shared the first tune from his upcoming album “Melodies On Hiatus” on Tuesday.
The song, featuring Goldlink, is called “100-99”.
“Truth is stranger than fiction. The reality is I’ve never spoken to GoldLink. I sent him this track and he added his verse I loved how it felt. It was all very tidy, and I hope to meet him someday,” Hammond tweeted announcing the song.
The project is Hammond’s fifth solo album and will be out on June 23, 2023.
The record features 19 tracks and will come with a series of visual aids that connect the tracks.
Hammond Jr. announced “The On Hiatus Tour” on Tuesday, which will stop at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
