Rolling Stones Shy Away From Term NFT

The Rolling Stones are set to unveil 40 photos linked to NFTs, or non-fungible tokens this month.

The NFTs will largely focus on “Historical moments captured from various tours over the 1960s-1990s” and will range in price between $199 to $300.

They will NOT however, officially be referred to as digital collectibles or NFTs.

Instead, fans can expect to receive a “Digital Certificate of Authenticity,” otherwise known as a DCOA.

As NFTs grow in popularity there is a growing push to drop the NFT label due to high-profile scandals and scams associated with the crypto and digital collectibles industry.

Last month, the marketing for Hollywood’s latest vampire movie “Renfield“ also featured NFTs without the actual term “NFT.”

Do you think scandals ruined the term “NTF?” Have you ever stopped using a product because of a scandal? Share your opinions on 107.7 The Bone’s Facebook or Twitter page.
