Journey drummer Deen Castronovo says it would take a “miracle from God” to fix the broken relationship between Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain.
“I can’t lie — it’s a bummer,” Castronovo says.
“I love both those guys. I’ve known them since I was 23, so it’s hard for me to see the turmoil, ’cause they’re like brothers to me. It breaks my heart to see this, but, you know, this is stuff they just have to work out, as much as I want to be a peacemaker. But I realize it’s gonna take a miracle from God to fix this, so I’m just waiting for God to fix this.”
Castronovo’s comments come after months of public feuding between Schon and Cain, during which Schon criticized Cain for performing at events for former President Donald Trump and Cain accused Schon of using the band’s credit card to buy more than $1 million in personal items.
Although the band still performs together, Schon and Cain are no longer on speaking terms, Castronovo says.
