Legendary singer Tina Turner has died at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, according to her spokesman.
Turner has the unique honor of being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of fame twice – once as a duo with her ex-husband Ike Turner in 1991 and again as a solo artist in 2021. She is well known for her smash hits including, “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”, “The Best”, “Proud Mary”, and “River Deep – Mountain High”.
The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s spokesman said: “There will be a private funeral ceremony attended by close friends and family. Please respect the privacy of her family at this difficult time.”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.
