John Corabi, the former lead singer of Mötley Crüe, is giving his take on the “public fighting” between guitarist Mick Mars and the remaining members of the band.
In an interview, Corabi was asked about the situation and said, “I don’t really wanna get into Mick’s business or Mötley’s business; it’s not my place. [But] to me, this was just something that was inevitable. It’s unfortunate, but it was inevitable. So… c’est la vie.”
Corabi was then asked if he has seen any of the performances by the Crüe with John 5 as their new guitarist, and his response was, “I’ve seen a few videos. Honestly, dude, and I don’t mean this as a slight or disrespect or anything to Mötley, I don’t care. I really don’t. I don’t wanna be rude or anything, but it’s, like, I really don’t think about them. I don’t care.”
Mars retired from touring with Mötley Crüe in October 2022. Since then, he’s filed a lawsuit against the band accusing them of removing him as a stakeholder in the band’s business dealings.
In the lawsuit, Mars claimed he was the only member of Mötley Crüe to play live during his last tour with the band. Meanwhile, the band says backing tracks were needed for Mars, whose playing they say has deteriorated.
